If you are keen to learn chinese, you will need a good dictionary. Nciku is a great site and a great place to learn chinese or mandarin. It is still in beta mode but each day they are adding words and sounds into their database. I like their Handwrite character where you could write the chinese character by drawing.
There is sound and phrases that you could learn and improve your Chinese language.

Yeah. That’s a great Chinese dictionary.
But we can’t really read dictionary in order to learn a language.
